Protocol:

The Staff Adviser,
The Patron and Matron,
Other Notable Dignitaries,
Out-Going and Incoming Executives,
Distinguished NAASites,
Esteemed Ladies and Gentlemen,

Preamble

" Glory be to God Almighty for the great things He has done and the greater things he would do". Amen!

All glory and honour be to the Most High and Most Gracious God who in His ignite love piloted Himself the administration ship of NAAS for the 2014/2015 academic session.

It is with immense gratitude to God Almighty that I address you today, as the last time in the capacity of president of our dear association.

Barely 10 months, we assumed the mantle of leadership of our noble association, which I admit was a great task. But knowledge of the Lord's word in Jer. 1:5-10 gave me confidence to start the race.

During our tenure, we faced a number of challenges which we believe were greater, to the best of our knowledge. By the grace of God, however, we safely arrived at the finish line and crossed it successfully.

Be that as it may, whatever experiences we had in the course of providing leadership since we assumed office, the time has come for us to leave. As written in the scriptures in the book of Ecclesiates 3:1 "To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven." There was time to assume office and now is time to handover.

I am handing over the reins of the leadership with a great sense of fulfilment based on our modest accomplishments. Surely, we did not take NAAS AAUA to the enviable and lofty heights we desired and worked rigorously to attain. But certainly, we have laid a solid foundation for the growth of our dear association which I believe the succeeding executives will leverage on.

Despite all odds, it is pertinent at this juncture to highlight some of the modest achievements our tenure has recorded since inception. These are not limited to; MEMBERSHIP STRENGTH, MEETINGS, NAAS DAY FIESTA, PRESENTATION OF AWARDS, FRESHERS' ORIENTATION, AWARENESS & MEMBERS MOBILIZATION, CONSTITUTION, CREATION OF WEBSITE, RECORD BOOKS, OPENING OF BANK ACCOUNT AND SCHOLARSHIP(SEGUN ABRAHAM EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME)

FINANCIAL STATUS: It should be noted here that, our major challenges lies on finances as no penny was handed over to this out-going executives. As a matter of fact, the purported #500 previous administration claimed they left was not officially given to us. Upon all this, my excos and I, devised means to source for fund, which was used to carried out on various projects mention aboved. For easy access, see details of the Financial Stewardship in the file.

APPRECIATION

I cannot conclude this address without placing on record the immeasurable support I received from certain people either in their individual capacities or as a group. I wish to specially acknowledge the support I enjoyed from our Leaders : Chief Dele Olowogorioye (Patron), The Staff Adviser Dr. L.O. Ekundayo and Dr. G.B. Ehinola respectively. Also worthy of note here: Com. Ajagun Samson (Former President), Com. Fagboye Mayowa (NAAS National Body President), Com. Makanjuola Shina (A. S.W President), Com. Babaduni Mayowa, Com. Awomatan Ayodele and to members who are numerous to mention.

To my fellow executives who solidly stood by me, giving wise counsel and effectively assisting me to steer the ship of association. Our relationship have blossomed since inception and goes beyond the official. I salute you all for your invaluable contributions to the development of our dear association. Posterity will definitely bring us our due and quite sure the good Lord will grant you love, mercy and favour in all your endeavour.

To all NAAsites, I thank you for your ardent support and encouragement made available for the success recorded. My efffusive thanks also goes to Akungba Axis Club, under the leadership of Mr. Adefemi Orisamoyi for their unflinching support towards the successful of our NAAS DAY programme.

FINAL REMARKS

I implore you all the good member of NAAS to support the incoming excos esp, the President so that he can take NAAS even to greater height. Since government is continuum, its expected that the incoming excos will continue from where we stopped and possibly take the association to the next level of development.

Although, I am leaving the stage as president, I will not be separated from you in spirit. I remain an ardent advocate and ambassador of NAAS wherever and whenever cirtumstances demand that I stand for our members and community as a whole.

I, Thefore, assure you of my continued service to the members in other areas of human endeavour.

Distinguished NAASites, I, Giwa Oladunloye Victor hand over the property and presidential power to my successor in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.
